Being Given

Marcel Duchamp has worked on his last enigmatic masterpiece “Étant donnés” for twenty years secretly.

It is based on a ritual murder scene by dr. George Hodel, a surrealist surgeon and the man behind the “Black Dahlia” murders, also  a mutual friend of him and Man Ray,

Duchamp’s piece is viewed through peepholes on an old door, similar to the one behind the burned down car across the yard.
