The complex of nerve tissues that controls the activities of the body. In vertebrates it comprises the brain and spinal cord.

Kundalini's effect on the central nervous system involves practices like yoga, meditation, and specific breathing techniques (pranayama) that are designed to strengthen, balance, and "reeducate" it, fostering resilience to stress and heightened awareness.
